Material Matters is a cross-media platform aimed at designers, architects, manufacturers and makers that investigate the importance of material intelligence and how the materials we use will shape our lives over the coming decades.

The brand was launched as a podcast – Material Matters with Grant Gibson –in 2019. It immediately garnered critical acclaim, with The Observer’s audio critic, Miranda Sawyer, writing that the show contained ‘enlightening, informed interviews. Recommended.

in 2022 Delizia Media was formed by William Knight and Grant Gibson to transform to idea into an annual design fair at Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf as part of the London Design Festival. The debut in 2022 was described by one website as a ‘massive hit with the audience of designers and architects’.

Meanwhile, a major conference on material intelligence is planned, so Material Matters continues to expand – in a sustainable and thoughtful way.
